Our concierge staff can connect you to a wide range of activities, whether your idea of recreation involves a jog on the beach or a nap in one of our oversized hammocks. We have the perfect lineup of options to help you decide how to spend your day. Golf, tennis, scuba diving, jet-skiing, and family activities are all available at the resort itself, or you can find them a short drive away.

In addition to taking a dip in one of our pools or the ocean, you can enjoy other water sports such as fishing, jet-skiing, sailing, and scuba diving. Let our concierge desk make arrangements for your big splash, all less than 20 miles away.

If you're a land-lover, you can take advantage of jogging on the beach, as well as check out nearby horseback riding, miniature golf and tennis. The Tennis Club at Grande Dunes features ten Har-Tru courts, a Pro Shop, swimming pool and fitness center, all conveniently located in one 5,000-square-foot facility.

  • Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world and take a trip to Brookgreen Gardens (20 miles), a National Historic Landmark that celebrates native flora and fauna. Or learn about marine life at Ripley's Aquarium (5 miles).
  • Looking for a once in a lifetime experience? Treat yourself to a helicopter tour with Huffman Helicopters and see the Grand Strand's magnificent coastline from a view that few others have the opportunity to experience.
  • If you love live performances, don't miss a show at the Carolina Opry (1 mile) - it has everything from music to comedy to dance. Or, for some down South fun, take a ride over to the Pirates Voyage (1 mile).
  • Hurricane Fleet (10 miles) can take you on a fishing expedition, or a shrimping and dolphin adventure, your choice!
  • Grab your water goggles and take the family to South Carolina's largest waterpark, Myrtle Waves (6 miles) or get your thrills at the NASCAR Speed Park (5 miles).

Kids' Seasonal Resort Activities
When the kids are happy, so are Mom and Dad. Which is exactly why the Resort at Grande Dunes offers a seasonal Kids' Club. The Club provides on-site activities to keep your littlest ones busy, and keep you relaxed and restful. After all, what's a vacation if you don't get to enjoy some time for yourself?
